Southern Greg Thompson is an American storyteller, humorist, actor, and stage entertainer. He grew up on a tobacco farm in North Carolina where he got bitten by the “Showbiz Bug” as a teenager.

He started a clogging team at the age of 14 and became a fixture as the MC for local fairs, pageants, talent contests and dance recitals.

He went on to work in local radio and then moved to Florida where he became a bartender…and then back to “showbiz”. He’s been Associate Cruise Director of Commodore Cruise Lines, MC and Show Manager of Medieval Times Dinner Tournament and an actor at Universal Studios in Florida.

He is also producer of The Sunburst Convention, the world’s premiere event for Celebrity Impersonators, which is held in Orlando each year. It’s the largest gathering of celebrity impersonators in the world!

He gladly shares his stories of growing up and his “showbiz” experiences… no matter how joyful or painful it is for him. It’s rated PG-13, so feel free to bring your spouse and in-laws (or outlaws if that is the case.)
